A terrestrial herb with erect, leafy, glandular, pubescent stems. Leaves suberect, three to four, elliptic-lanceolate, acute, 5-10 cm long, 1.5-3 cm wide, pubescent on both surfaces, subtended at base by one to two sheathing bracts. Inflorescence one-flowered; peduncle slender, elongate, glandular-pubescent, to 12 cm long; bract leaf-like, lanceolate, 2.5-3.5 cm long. Flower small for the genus, with yellow or yellow-green sepals and petals and a yellow lip, rarely finely spotted -with red; pedicel and ovary glandular- pubescent. Dorsal sepal lanceolate, acuminate, 2-4 cm long, 0.8-1.4 cm wide, glabrous; synsepal ovate, shortly bifid at apex, 1.83.5 cm long, 1.1-1.6 cm wide, glabrous. Petals untwisted, linearlanceolate, acuminate, 2.3-4 cm long, 0.6-0.8 cm wide, densely pubescent at base on inner side. Lip small, subglobose, 2-2.5 cm long, 1.5-1.7 cm wide, with a very small mouth often edged by teeth. Column 6-7 mm long; staminode trullate, obtuse, 0.6-0.7 cm long, conduplicate and deeply concave in apical half, yellow spotted with red.
